An Experimental Investigation on the Effect of Ferrous Ferric Oxide Nano-Additive and Chicken Fat Methyl Ester on Performance and Emission Characteristics of Compression Ignition Engine

In recent years, industries have been investing to develop a potential alternative fuel substitute the depleting fossil fuels which emit noxious emissions. Present work investigated effect of ferrous ferric oxide nano-additive on performance and emission parameters compression ignition engine fuelled with chicken fat methyl ester blends. The was included various blends at different ppm 50, 100, 150 through ultrasonication process. Probe sonicator utilized for nano-fuel preparation inhibit formation agglomeration nanoparticles in base fuel. Experimental results revealed that addition 100 dosage significantly improves combustion substantially decrease pernicious emissions engine. It is also found from an experimental analysis brake thermal efficiency (BTE) improved by 4.84%, reduction specific consumption (BSFC) 10.44%, energy (BSEC) 9.44%, exhaust gas temperature (EGT) 19.47%, carbon monoxides (CO) 53.22%, unburned hydrocarbon (UHC) 21.73%, nitrogen oxides (NOx) 15.39%, smoke 14.73% B20FFO100 blend.
